Women Business Owner Conference a Success!

601519_498725393517979_714608445_nDid you attend the Women Business Owner Conference at the Anaheim Marriott on March 22, 2013? If so, we’d love to hear your thoughts. And go to our gallery page to see lots of photos of the sold out event.

Here’s a roundup from one of the organizers, Deb Molino:

SCORE and their partners had their second Women in Business Conference with over 450 people attending. This conference was exponentially better than last year. Our speakers included Lee Clow,  who worked with Steve Jobs to develop the original Apple advertising campaigns. I saw women in tears after he spoke, he touched them when he talked about the emotional commitment you must have to your business to be successful. Our other speakers rallied the attendees and energized them to learn how to take their businesses to the next level. Everyone needs a push to take that step and the conference supplied that in spades.

The other major contribution to everyone’s business was the networking opportunities–not only with the other business owners, but the conference had over 40 exhibitors offering potential solutions to common business problems. You could see lots of business cards exchanging hands and potential new clients and relationships being formed. Education, motivation and networking all in just a 7-hour investment.

Next year, I see the conference being more of those three key points. Maybe more vendors, more specific panels to deal with key new business issues such as healthcare costs or potential HR issues could be added.
